The Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9/13/10
The whole Upper Delaware River system for the most part, has favorable temperatures and fished well yesterday. The streamer bite was excellent yesterday with ideal weather. Pseudos covered the West and produced good surface action mid-afternoon, and there were reports of good Isonychia hatches on the Main Stem. Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies throughout the day and T-Storms later in the evening, with a high of 73 degrees. River is at a nice floatable level and in good shape.

Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9-12-2010
Today they are calling for a high of 61 with rain showers for most of the day. Overnight temperatures have allowed the water temperatures to remain cool throughout the West Branch as well as the Main Stem as far down as Lordville. The release from Cannonsville this morning is 907 cfs. The West Branch and the Main Stem are both still off color due to the reservoir turning over. Today looks like streamers may be the best option; we have been having the best luck with black streamers as it seems to stick out in this water clarity. Mayfly action today may consist of BWO’s, iso’s, and pseudo’s, in addition to mayflies, keep an eye out for caddis as they are starting to show up in good numbers once again.

Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River report 9/11/2010
Today we are expecting highs of 75º with mostly sunny skies. River temperatures are good the entire length of the West Branch and on the Main Stem as far down as Lordville. Streamers and nymphs will likely be your most productive flies of the day today, but also keep an eye out for isos, pseudo, BWO’s and White flies if you are on the main. Flows are up today and we can expect the same for the rest of the weekend.

The Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9/10/10
Today’s weather and river conditions should make for decent fishing action today. Partly cloudy skies and favorable water temperatures throughout the West Branch and upper sections of the Main Stem is what we are looking at going into the weekend. The river is still stained from the fall turn-over of the reservoir, but certainly fishable. It has also come up since the release increase this morning. Streamers will likely be your best option, but keep an eye out for surface activity as the day goes on. Decent numbers of Olives on the West, Flying Ants scattered throughout the system, isolated Isonychia hatches on the Main, Tricos in the a.m., a few Cahills on the lower West, and October Caddis scattered throughout.

The Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9/9/10
The river looks to be in pretty good shape this morning and the overcast skies should stick around most of the day with a high of 64 for the day, and showers later this evening. The release has slightly increased again this morning and with this weather, streamer fishing has the potential to be very productive. Be prepared for olives throughout the day as well. Temperatures look good on the West Branch and the upper Main Stem, to about Stockport.

The Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9/8/10
Today’s forecast is calling for partly cloudy skies and a high of 73 degrees. Water levels have been increased slightly, from 679 to 718 cfs. The Upper Main Stem fished okay yesterday, with some streamer action and occasionally some sporadic surface activity, but keep an eye on water temperatures for today. The West fished very similarly to the Main Stem, and maintains more ideal temperatures at this point in the week. Tricos in the morning, flying ants and caddis mid-day, and olives in the evenings, with a scattering of Cahills throughout the day. Isonychia and white flies late on the Main Stem.

Today will be a warm one with partly cloudy skies and a high of 85 degrees. Yesterday there was decent activity with small olives for the most part, but some flying ants and even some small sulphurs were present on the West Branch. The Main Stem had some activity with isonychia and white flies, and the October caddis are becoming more frequent as well. No reports from yesterday on the streamer bite, but conditions are still good to where streamers should still be productive.

The Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9/6/10
The rivers were fishing pretty well yesterday. There was good white fly spinner falls a few miles into the Main Stem that had fish up and feeding. The West Branch had a decent streamer bite, white being most productive according to reports, along with a really good amount of Olive spinners late on the lower sections. There was also a scattering of caddis and flying ants throughout the middle of the day. Flows have been lowered to just under 700 cfs, but levels are still floatable and fair for wading opportunities.

The Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Repert 9/5/10
Today is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 71 degrees. Tricos in the mornings, flying ants and some small caddis during the mid-day hours, with a few cahills mixed in. Olives have been coming off in the evenings, there are white flies late on the Main Stem, as well as isolated hatches of isonychia and late spinner falls. Streamer fishing will likely be the most productive technique with the increased flows and off-color water conditions.

Today’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with high wind gusts and a high of 69 degrees. River is up and slightly off-color due to the increase in the release. Clarity has improved from yesterday and there should be less free-floating debris as well. Yesterday had a scattering of olives and flying ants throughout the day and today should be more of the same. Streamers will likely be the best choice, at least until you start getting some surface action.

Delaware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 8/3/2010
The Release is back up to 1040 this morning. The lower West Branch is still seeing good amounts of tricos during the morning hours, as well as decent numbers of flying ants and a scattering of caddis. Olives have also been producing some good surface activity late in the evening and on overcast/rainy days. Streamers in the morning, nymphing during the warmer, mid-day hours, and dry fly opportunities late. When the caddis and flying ants are active they offer good dry fly action mid-day as well.

The Delware River Club: Upper Delaware River Report 9/2/10
Today, the skies should be partly cloudy with a high of 85 degrees. The West Branch this morning will be slightly on the rise due to an increase in the release early today. Flying ants and caddis make up the mid day dry fly action, with some olives in the evening as well. There could be a decent streamer bite this morning with the rising levels. Conditions currently, are great for both wade and drift boat fishermen, and they should continue to improve.
