Blue skies and mild temperatures today with a high of 63 degrees.  Water conditions are looking good lately and the fishing activity seems to be picking up, but most of the action has been subsurface with the little insect activity as of late. Temperatures are looking good across the board.  Rains over the past two days have raised water levels to where floating will not be an issue for the beginning of the week.  Although the surface activity has been spotty at best, caddis have been showing up in relatively decent numbers later in the evenings and have produced more and more action as the days progress.

Another windy, rainy, overcast day today.  The rivers have also risen some as a result of the rain, so combined with today’s weather patterns, we suspect there will be some excellent streamer activity today and the rest of the weekend.  Insect activity has been hit or miss all fall, but Caddis and Olives usually arrive in the most abundant numbers this time of the season, and can produce some great action, so be prepared for that.  Otherwise, streamers and nymph fishing have been the most productive techniques.

Overcast and rainy today with some wind and a high of only 50 degrees.  Caddis have been stirring up some action later in the evenings this past week and some small Olives have also been coming, but not in any kind of numbers really.  The West has gone up slightly with a small increase in the releases and has the river at a floatable level, but some sections may still be a little “skinny”.  Streamers should work well on a day like today, and hopefully we will see some more activity with the Olives as well.  The East Branch and Main Stem are also in great shape. With favorable water temperatures and decent flows across the board, have conditions looking good headed into the weekend!

Today they are calling for rain showers the second half of the day. Water conditions are looking good lately and the fishing activity seems to be picking up, but most of the action has been subsurface with the little insect activity as of late, however with clouds in the sky today we may see a fair amount of BWO’s. Temperatures are looking good across the board, but water levels on the West Branch have dropped to where floating is not an option.  Rains predicted for the next two days will likely raise water levels to where this will not be an issue for the weekend.  Although the surface activity has been spotty, caddis have been showing up in relatively decent numbers later in the evenings and have produced more and more action as the days progress.

Showers this morning and mild temperatures have that fishy feel in the air today.  Water conditions are very favorable throughout the entire system really, and the fishing has been pretty decent when we get this kind of weather.  Flows on the West Branch are relatively low for drift boat access, but some sections should be no problem.  Caddis have been showing up in fair numbers lately in the evenings and have produced some surface activity and days like today will typically consist of pretty decent Olive numbers as well.  The streamer fishing has slowed with dropping water levels, but with things being slightly off color still, streamers will still produce good fish, particularly on overcast days like today.  The nymphing action has probably been the most consistent as of late.

Another blue-sky day today with a high of 68 degrees.  Cool evenings have water temperatures in good shape throughout the system, and water levels are pretty respectable.  The West Branch is still dropping and some sections of the river may recede to the point where floating may not be possible, but for now things are looking pretty good. Yesterday boasted some caddis activity throughout the day, but didn’t really get going in any numbers until around 7:00 p.m. and produced limited surface activity.  The streamer bite, although not great, still provided decent action throughout the day and was the best option for targeting trout.

Today looks like we will see a high in the upper 60’s with sunny skies. Water temperatures are still looking good throughout the entire river system and levels on the Main Stem and East Branch are floatable. The West Branch is at a better level to wade as Hale Eddy is flowing 481 cfs this morning. Although there has been several caddis spotted over the past couple of days, nymphing and throwing streamers will likely be the best option of landing quality fish during the day today.

Blue skies today with a high of 70 degrees. This weather appears as though it will be consistent for the next few days as well.  Water conditions are looking good for the West Branch; water temps are very favorable, the clarity is good, and the flows are perfect for both wade fishing and drift boat access! Water levels will likely continue to drop over the next few days provided that they don’t increase the release from Cannonsville Reservoir, but floatable water levels will likely be sustained through the weekend at least.  The East Branch and Main Stem should continue to drop as well over the next few days, and the fishing will likely pick up.  The dry fly action has been decent this past week, and we are optimistic that the fair weather forecasted for the rest of this week will continue to heat up the insect activity and hopefully bring more fish to the surface.

The West Branch looks to be in great shape! Flows are about perfect for both wade and drift boat fishing right now and the temperatures are very favorable.  Olives have produced some decent surface activity and some fishing action, particularly on the upper sections of the West Branch.  Today may be a little windy, but should be a nice day; and for the next two, calm and sunny.  Look for the insect activity to pick up over the next few days…

Flows, water temperatures, and clarity have improved greatly on the West Branch and things are looking great for the rest of the week.  Streamers will likely produce some decent action and there is a good chance of having Olives stirring up a little surface activity as well.  The East Branch is still relatively high yet, and is probably the most off-color of the rivers, but those conditions may be suitable for streamer fishing.  With decent flows coming from both the East and West branches, the Main Stem is running rather high and will be difficult to wade, but streamer fishing from a drift boat may provide some decent opportunities.
