Trout find a large portion of their diet under the surface so it makes sense to place your flies there when fishing the upper Delaware. Some of the best sub-surface patterns include Golden Stoneflies, Soft Hackles, Emergent Sparkle Pupas, Pheasant Tail Nymphs, Hare’s Ears and Brassies.
