Delaware River Report / Conditions August 9, 2019

We were hit by some fast moving storms around dinner time that dumped quite a bit of rain fast.  Some of the feeder streams started pushing some color last night but everything has settled down this morning.  The West Branch is still at a decent level for floating and wading with 676 cfs and dropping.  The color cleared up and everything looks fine.  We’re in a bit of a cool down period with the air temp only reaching 76 today and dropping down to 56 degrees overnight.  We’ll see a partly cloudy sky and wind 5 – 10 mph from the North.

Hale Eddy is in decent shape after the rian

Water temps are hot on the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, the East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and the Mainstem at Lordville.  Give the fish a break in those areas and fish colder water.
