Delaware River Report / Conditions July 30, 2019

Yesterday’s cloud cover and afternoon storm seemed to help help the fishing with decent sulphurs, olives, and some isonychias hatching.  There was an isolated storm in the afternoon that dropped some rain on some river sections and totally missed others.  It  was brief and didn’t do anything to the flows.  The release from Cannonsville was increased to 650 cfs yesterday afternoon.  Today will be a bit warmer with the air temp climbing into the mid 80’s.  We may see some afternoon thunderstorms with wind 5 – 10 mph from the South.

Water temps are hot on the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, the East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and the Mainstem at Lordville.  Give the fish a break in those areas and fish colder water.
