Delaware River Report / Conditions June 10, 2015

Yesterday was a tough day for hatching.  The water was up and down and off color but the fish were eating streamers.  We had some additional rain last night / early this morning but the rivers are beginning to drop.  The Mainstem may rise a little more this morning before it peaks.  We do have color in the rivers today but the upper East Branch in Downsville and the West Branch above Oquaga Creek should still be low and clear.  The system should clear throughout the day as the water drops.  Accuweather is calling for bright sun, warm air temps, and very light winds today.
The cool overnight air temps and increased flow helped drop the Mainstem water temperatures.  The Main at Lordville peaked around 69 degrees yesterday afternoon.  Even though the temps are starting off at 63 degrees this morning double checks the temps this afternoon with your thermometer.

For the first time in a while the West Branch is at a decent level for wading and floating
