Yesterday ended up being a good day overall. The cloud cover was great and we had a brief light shower mid day. There were caddis, March Browns, and Sulphurs on the water. The fish were happy in the cloud cover and a lot of fish were landed on top during the day. Some river sections had Coffin Flies at night. Today we should keep some cloud cover and have another very light, brief shower. We’re still in a cool down period so the air temperature will stay in the 60’s. The cooler temps and cloud cover have done a world of good for the lower East Branch, lower Beaverkill, and lower Mainstem. Daytime temps will climb a little over the next few days but the nighttime temps will stay in the 50’s.
There is construction on Winterdale Road. A short stretch is closed near the Methodist Camp between us and Hancock. We have detours listed on our website here: https://thedelawareriverclub.com/welcome-to-the-drc/getting-here/
