Delaware River Report / Conditions May 24, 2020

Yesterday morning’s rain caused a small bump in flows throughout the system but it wasn’t much and the rivers are already dropping back to normal.  Everything is still at a good level for wading and floating.  We’ll have more sunshine today with the air temp reaching 74 degrees and with 5 – 10 mph from the South.  There’s a mix of bugs out there so carry most of your Spring flies.  The march brown hatch should get better as the water warms up.  Caddis are everywhere and the olive hatches have been decent this past week. We’re still seeing some subvaria hendricksons and the start of the X hendricksons.  Definitely have your spinner box handy.

Our lodging and fly shop are now open.  Our fly shop will be limited to two customers at a time and masks are required.  We will wipe down the shop before the next customers come inside.  We are following CDC cleaning guidelines for both the rooms and the shop.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is still a shipping option in the online store if you would rather not come inside.

We are now allowed to guide one client at a time in Pennsylvania, two anglers in NYS. If you would like a guided trip send us an email at flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com or call 570-635-5880 and we’ll try to fit you in
