Delaware River Report / Conditions May 25, 2020

The release from Cannonsville has been increased slightly to 651 cfs.  650 cfs just wasn’t quite enough so we got the extra 1.  That happened yesterday afternoon.  We’re in for another bluebird day.  It actually sounds  like a repeat of yesterday. Clouds in the morning and clear in the afternoon.  The air temp will hit the high 70’s and wind will be 5 – 10 from the South.  Some good cloud cover and light rain would really be nice right now.  These sunny bright days have been tough but there have been a lot of caddis active over the riffles so watch them closely for a flash or slash.  If you are on the Mainstem or East Branch try blind casting a march brown.  There were also some sulphurs hatching last night so definitely have those in your box.  There are some bigger hendricksons hanging on in some sections and we are seeing a few of the #16 hendricksons so don’t put those flies away quite yet.

Our lodging and fly shop are now open.  Our fly shop will be limited to two customers at a time and masks are required.  We will wipe down the shop before the next customers come inside.  We are following CDC cleaning guidelines for both the rooms and the shop.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is still a shipping option in the online store if you would rather not come inside.

We are now allowed to guide one client at a time in Pennsylvania, two anglers in NYS. If you would like a guided trip send us an email at flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com or call 570-635-5880 and we’ll try to fit you in
