Delaware River Report / Conditions May 26, 2020

Yesterday’s Wunderground forecast forgot to mention an brief but heavy mid morning rainstorm.  They got the rest of the day correct with sunshine and temps approaching 80.  Today looks similar with the air temp hitting the mid 80’s, sunshine, and wind 5 – 10 mph from the South.  Nymphing has been the best bet during the day but keep an eye out for caddis being eaten in the riffles.  We’ve stumbled on that a couple of times this week.  The weather should warm the water and push some of the hatches that are on the brink like the march browns and gray fox.  Sulphurs are showing up at dark on some river sections.  Have your sulphurs ready towards dark.

Our lodging and fly shop are now open.  Our fly shop will be limited to two customers at a time and masks are required.  We will wipe down the shop before the next customers come inside.  We are following CDC cleaning guidelines for both the rooms and the shop.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is still a shipping option in the online store if you would rather not come inside.

If you would like a guided trip send us an email at flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com or call 570-635-5880 and we’ll try to fit you in
