Delaware River Report / Conditions May 27, 2020

The release from Cannonsville has been reduced to 488 cfs.  The air temp will be in the 80’s again today but at least we should have some cloud cover.  Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.  Luckily we’ll cool down to the 70’s tomorrow.  The hendricksons are still holding on in the colder river sections.  Not a lot of them but if you go up top have a few in your box.  Otherwise caddis and olives will cover most of what you’ll see during the day.  There are some sporadic march browns and gray fox hatching plus sulphurs towards dark.  Overall we did well yesterday despite the blazing sun and hot air temp.

If you fish the lower Main or lower East check the water temps first.  Both rivers hit the high 60’s with yesterday’s heat.

Our lodging and fly shop are now open.  Our fly shop will be limited to two customers at a time and masks are required.  We will wipe down the shop before the next customers come inside.  We are following CDC cleaning guidelines for both the rooms and the shop.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is still a shipping option in the online store if you would rather not come inside.

If you would like a guided trip send us an email at flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com or call 570-635-5880 and we’ll try to fit you in
