We are looking at another tough day today but it looks like some relief may be on it’s way tonight. The lower sections of the branches and the Mainstem are starting off warm to hot this morning. The Lordville gauge is showing 69 degrees at the 4:45 am update. The forecast is calling for the air temperature to reach 80 degrees with mostly sun and a brief shower moving in later. The lower sections are going to cook today so stay above Hale Eddy and Harvard for fishable temperatures. Nymphing will likely be the best option during the sun and heat. We should see some little olives hatching if the rain moves through this afternoon. Blind casting Isonychias has also been productive in some riffles.
We should get more rain overnight which will certainly help. Cooler air temperatures are also on the way so we should be in decent shape early in the week.
