Delaware River Report / Conditions September 21, 2018

The release from Cannonsville has been decreased to 818 cfs. The lower water should help concentrate the hatches and give the fish better water to set up and feed in.  We should have a clouds today.  These are the best conditions we’ve seen in a while.  It took while for things to get going yesterday.  Once the sun dropped behind the hills iso spinners, olives, and olive spinners showed up in the slower pools and made the fish happy. Earlier in the day some people found limited success with streamers and wets but it was definitely work to find fish.  A little less than 1/4″ of rain should fall overnight leading into a clear weekend.
