Delaware River Report / Conditions September 24, 2021

The West Branch at Hale Eddy flow peaked over 2,500 cfs but is already dropping and is 1,900 cfs this morning.  There is a lot of water coming down the feeder streams below Hale Eddy so the lower West is higher out front.  Wading is not an option but you can fish the West Branch in a boat today. It is off color so it looks like a streamer day to start.  It should begin to clear a bit by this afternoon.  The East Branch, Beaverkill, and Mainstem are all extremely high and not fishable today.  The rain should be finished and we’ll see the sun today. 68 degrees with wind 5 – 10 from the South.
