Delaware River Report / Conditions August 16, 2020

Over 50 people gathered yesterday for the 4th Annual Get Trashed in the Catskills River Cleanup.  We owe a huge thanks to everyone who showed up to clean the rivers.  We’re already making notes for August 2021!

A lot of tires were removed from the Mainstem and Wet Branch yesterday

Today looks like a good day to be on the water.  We’ll be cooler at 78 degrees with some cloud cover.  Wind will be from the South 5 – 10 mph.  Wunderground is now giving us a 20% chance of rain today.  The cooler weather will help the fishing throughout the system but at least for today stick in the upper river sections in the coldest water.  We’ll keep an eye on water temps in the lower river sextions over the next couple of days.

The lower Beaverkill, lower East Branch, and Mainstem temperatures are all peaking over 70 degrees.  Give those rivers a break until they cool down.
