The flows have settled back to normal. The release from Cannonsville was bumped slightly to cfs. Today looks like a good day to be on the river with decent cloud cover and maybe .03″ of rain. there may be a couple of periods of gusty wind if the thunderstorms come through but hopefully they slide south of us like normal. The wind should be 5 – 10 mph from the South. We’ll only see 77 degrees today and the night time air temp will drop into the high 50’s. That should help cool down the rivers this week. Wunderground doesn’t show any significant rain this week. There are still some sulphurs left mixed with the olives. Caddis are back on some river sections along with some tricos in the morning. Tricos can be spotty so move around a bit if you don’t see the clouds of spinners over the water.
The lower Beaverkill, lower East Branch, and Mainstem temperatures are all peaking over 70 degrees. Give those rivers a break until they cool down.
