The rivers are dropping and clearing this morning. The release on the East Branch has been increased and the flow at Downsville is 678 cfs. This will cool the river down and help clear any runoff from the feeder streams. The West Branch at Stilesville is a steady 589 cfs. The flow at Hale Eddy is 1,320 cfs and is clear enough to fish below that. Streamers will still be a good option early. The sulphurs are still hatching mid afternoon on the upper West Branch with a few isonychias and olives mixed in. We’re in another warming trend with air tems in the high 80’s and sunshine for the next few days. There is some light rain in the forecast beginning Tuesday. Right now it looks like enough to give a break from the sun but not enough to mess with the river flows.
