Delaware River Report / Conditions July 1, 2019

July 1st and the West Branch at the 191 Bridge is starting off at 56 degrees this morning.  The hatching has been good even during the day- you just have to fish the coldest water.  Sulphurs, cahills, and isonychias are out in decent numbers and there was a good hatch of light blue wing olives mixed in last night.  There are still some caddis out there too.  The wind was not helpful at times but settled down in the evening.  Today will be warmer with the air temp climbing back into the low 80’s with sun.  Wind 5 – 10 from the North.
