Delaware River Report / Conditions July 22, 2016

Somehow our chance of precipitation yesterday went from 65% to 50% to 0%.  So we received zero rain and flows remain very similar to yesterday morning.  There are rumors of some kind of thermal release in the works but when it will come and how much water will be released is unknown.  We’re not sure why there is a push for a thermal release now since we seem to habe been in this weather pattern for a while.  There are a couple of warmer nights in the forecast so that may be the factor.  Last night was a warm one staying in the 60’s so we have a good amount of fog on the river this morning.  The sun is already shining so that should burn off early.  We are seeing decent sulphur hatches in Deposit now with fish eating them despite the sun.  They are picky so use cripple or low profile patterns and watch your drift.
