Delaware River Report / Conditions July 26, 2018

We had some more heavy rain in the late afternoon and overnight.  The West Branch in Stilesville seem to be in decent shape at 356 cfs.  It should be clear and fishable above Oquaga Creek.  It is 1,280 cfs at Hale Eddy and dropping. Each feeder is adding a decent amount of water so the flow will be higher as you go downstream below Hale Eddy.  It is off color in the lower river.  We’ll be in the low 80’s today with sunshine in the afternoon.  There is no rain in today’s forecast.

The Eastern drainage flow really came up and Fishs Eddy is flowing over 13,000 cfs.  The Beaverkill exceeded the National Flood Stage Level last night.  That water is working it’s way down the Main Stem so expect the flow at Lordville to increase throughout the day as the Beaverkill and East Branch flows drop.  Stay off the Beaverkill, Mainstem, and lower East Branch for safety until the flows drop back to normal.

Stilesville is one of the few areas that came through the storms okay
