Delaware River Report / Conditions June 11, 2015

The river flows are dropping this morning and are clearing nicely.  The West Branch looks good this morning with good clarity and decent flows.  Streamers and nymphs worked okay yesterday with the key being on the water early.  The hatching was late in the day almost at dark with a mix of sulphurs, cahills, and a few isonychias thrown into the mix.
We are probably going to lose the the Mainstem to temperatures again today.  The Lordville gauge peaked at 68 degrees last night and is starting off at 66 degrees this morning.  We are looking at bright sun, light winds, and air temps in the 80’s.  Your best bet is to stay on the West Branch or upper East Branch for the cold water.  The hatching should be better in the upper sections of river.  Use your thermometer.
