Delaware River Report / Conditions June 18, 2021

We’re coming off another cool night.  The air temp should climb to 80 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun this afternoon.  Wind will be from the South 5 – 10 mph.  Any rainfall should be negligible.  Yesterday seemed to fish like a more normal sunny day with some sporadic action early and decent activity once the sun dropped.  Nymph and swing wets to fill in the gaps.  Some people are finding fish early on spinners and olives before the sun hits the water.

The Lower East Branch, Mainstem, and Beaverkill at Cooks Falls all peaked at or close to 70 degrees yesterday.  It’s time to give those rivers a break and fish cold water areas.
