Delaware River Report / Conditions June 2, 2015

The cool weather has given the rivers some relief.  While most of the rain missed us we did receive some mostly on the East Branch drainage again.  The rivers have come up a little and are beginning to fall back this morning.  Today’s forecast is calling for air temps in the 60’s, cloud cover, with a little light rain.  It looks  like a decent fishing day.
Yesterday the olives hatched well in the morning and again in the afternoon.  Lots of small olives size # 20 -24.  We did have hatches of cahills, isonychias, sulphurs, and the dark caddis for a while too.  The sulphurs really came into their own at dark so don’t leave the river too early.  All in all it was a good day to be on the river.
