Delaware River Report / Conditions May 28, 2020

Today will be cooler with the air temp hitting 73 degrees.  Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South with the possibility of some showers in the evening.  It’s going to feel good out there after the last few days of heat.  The release from Cannonsville is 450 cfs.  March browns and gray fox are around but we haven’t seen a real concentrated hatch yet.  Either would make a good searching pattern in the riffles right now, especially on the upper main.  Tan caddis around and the fish are on them.  Sulphurs are coming off right at dark like normal for this time of year.  We may see some olives coming off in the rain today and tomorrow so definitely have those handy.

Our lodging and fly shop are now open.  Our fly shop will be limited to two customers at a time and masks are required.  We will wipe down the shop before the next customers come inside.  We are following CDC cleaning guidelines for both the rooms and the shop.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is still a shipping option in the online store if you would rather not come inside.

If you would like a guided trip send us an email at flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com or call 570-635-5880 and we’ll try to fit you in
