The release from Cannonsville is 883 cfs. We are in the middle of an October heat wave but the rivers are staying in good shape. The West Branch release is coming from a warmer reservoir level so everything seems pretty steady across the board. The flow at Downsville is 259 cfs this morning- it’s nice to see the East get a little something in the streambed. Streamers are still working well with a few fish finding the caddis, isonychias, and small olives on top. We do have some heptagenia on the door this morning so definitely have a few of those in your box. Today’s weather looks good with high air temperatures approaching 70 and light winds gusting only to 6 mph. This warm spell feels really nice out there – almost like early September. We do have some rain coming over the next few days but the amount of precipitation in the forecast seems to change every few hours. Most of it will soak into the ground anyway and the cloud cover should be good for the olives.
