There were some fish landed on top during the day but the dry fly action got really good after the sun started to drop below the hills. That’s also about the time the wind finally died down. Nymphing worked well while the wind was blowing. March browns, cahills, sulphurs, tan caddis, gray fox, and some cornutas are out there. Lower river sections are seeing some green drakes. This is the time of year to watch risers closely and try to figure out what bug they are eating. We’re coming off a cool night but the air temp should warm up into the low 60’s today. Wind should only be 5 -10 mph out of the West. Sun for most of the day with clouds coming in the late afternoon.
