We have a light rain falling this morning- almost a heavy mist. It’s not going to amount to anything but we should keep the cloud cover all day. It’s a warm 50 degrees this morning too. The air temp will climb close to 60 degrees today with wind 5 – 10 from the South. The river flows are continuing to drop slowly as the runoff subsides. Overall it looks like a good day to be on the water. Yesterday was sunny in the afternoon so the olive hatch was light but the isonychias and caddis made an appearance in some riffles bringing fish to the surface.

The border water on the West Branch and Mainstem are open to fishing year round. The Upper West that flows only in NY is closed. That puts it roughly around the Beaver Mountain Log Homes display on Rte 17. The lower EB stays open until November 30th.
