Yesterday fished well with good numbers of blue quills and hendricksons. There were a lot of apple caddis in sections but we didn’t see a fish eat one off the surface. The water column had to be full of them so they were probably gorging themselves underneath. The lower flow and higher water temps definitely helped the fishing. The release from Cannonsville has been increased to 600 cfs. There is 815 cfs coming over the spill way. The flow at hale Eddy is 1,520 cfs this morning. Today looks like another nice day with the air temp reaching 50 degrees, wind 5 – 10 from the South, and cloud cover. We’ll see some rain this afternoon turn into snow overnight. Snow accumulation should be less than 1″. Tonight and tomorrow will be cold but the 50’s return on Sunday.
