We cool back down to the low 70’s tomorrow but today we’ll be back at 68 degrees with a few scattered thunderstorms in the morning. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North. The nighttime temps get lower over the next few days which should help the water temps on the lower East Branch and Mainstem. Tan caddis patterns have still been the best producers but the big bugs are here too. Some sulphurs are mixing with the caddis mid afternoon offering some shots at fishing earlier than we’ve expected. Keep an eye on the riffles for sporadic slashing fish. The water temps on the lower Beaverkill, the lower East Branch, and the Mainstem have crept back up and were pushing 70 degrees yesterday. Double check the temps with a thermometer before you fish those rivers.
