Delaware River Report: June 8, 2022

All of the river flows are climbing this morning from last night’s rain. The West Branch looks clear out front as of 5:30 this morning and is 640 cfs at Hale Eddy. The flow is still rising at Hale Eddy. If we see it go above a safe wading level or see color in the river we’ll post an update. Click on the links below for the most up to date flow information. The rain held off until yesterday afternoon but we did have the wind to contend with. Nymphing was the best bet but there were some dry fly shots. Sulphur and Cahill patterns have been very effective along with caddis. Today’s weather could push some olives too. Some river sections are still seeing March Browns, Gray Fox, Green Drakes, and Brown Drakes. It looks like any additional rain will come overnight. We should see sun and 74 degrees today. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
