Delaware River Report: June 29, 2022

Yesterday was a cool, sunny day without many clouds. Nymphing and wets were your best bets during the day. Some people are blind casting Isonychias and cahills in the riffles and finding some fish. The best shot at dry fly fishing has been in the evening as the sun starts to drop. Sulphurs, cahills, and small olives are making up the bulk of the bugs. Today should fish similar with sunshine and the air temp hitting 80 degrees. wind will be from the South 5 – 10 mph.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy, The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, and the Mainstem at Lordville all peaked close to 70 degrees yesterday. Even with the cooler weather it’s time to give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.

Dominic found some good fish this week
