Delaware River Report: July 19, 2022

There was a short bout of rain yesterday evening that didn’t change the flows but it did help with the water temperatures. The next few days will be much hotter and the cooler water is certainly a good thing. With the warm weather today look for cooler water closer to the dams and after the sun drops. We’re still seeing sulphurs, small olives and the occasional Iso.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy, the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, and the Mainstem at Lordville all peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. It’s time to give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.
