Delaware River Report: August 29, 2022

There was another quick pulse from Cannonsville overnight but the West Branch flow is already dropping at Stilesville this morning. Based on the last couple of days it should settle in the 650 cfs range. The flow on the lower West will continue to drop throughout the day. The main hatch is still the small blue wing olives. We’ve seen some Tricos around and some flying ants. A few sulphurs, cahill / stenos, and Isonychias round out the hatching. Today will hit 89 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls both peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.

Another day another Yo Yo release.
