The release from Cannonsville was dropped to 659 yesterday and increased to 950 cfs overnight. Again. Right now the flow is steady at Stilesville. For the latest flow information click on the Stilesville gauge link below. Yesterday was hot when the sun popped out. There were some flushes of olives mixed with a few sulphurs and light cahills / stenos. We are also finding some yellow sallies on the building so they are around in decent numbers. In between hatches some people were doing well fishing Isonychia dry droppers in the riffles. And definitely have a few flying ants in your box. Today will be 83 degrees with potential thunderstorms. Keep an eye on the radar to see if they’ll slide around us like normal or if we’ll see some rain. Total rainfall should less than 1/2″. Wind 5 – 10 mph from the South.
The East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls both peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.
