Delaware River Report: September 2, 2022

The release from Cannonsville has been adjusted slightly down bringing the flow at Stilesville to 919 cfs. You still have to choose your wade spots carefully at this level but there are spots that will work. Small blue wing olives are still making up the bulk of the mayflies we’re seeing on the water. Make sure to have a few Cahill / stenos, small, sulphurs, Isonychias, yellow sallies, and flying ants in your box. We’re coming off a very cool night and the air temp will only climb to 79 degrees today. Sunny with light and variable wind.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls both peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.

The flow is down slightly from yesterday
