Delaware River Report: April 24, 2023

The runoff is subsiding and the main river flows are dropping. The West Branch looks good this morning and is wadeable in spots. Stilesville was unaffected by the rain and is 694 cfs. The Beaverkill and East Branch are both running high with some color. The Beaverkill is 1,290 cfs at Cooks Falls so that should be in decent shape by tomorrow. Yesterday was mostly streamers and nymphs in the higher flows.

Today will be 53 degrees with some sun. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North. There is a very slight chance of a shower but the rainfall amount should be negligible. The night air temps have dropped back in to the high 30’s so it will take a little longer for the water temps to climb.

The flows are slowly dropping back to normal
