The feeder creeks are still dropping slowly but the spill coming over the dams has increased. It takes time for the inflow above the reservoirs to make it across to the dam. That’s why the gauges show the flow dropping and then increasing again. Cannonsville is spilling 3,283 cfs with a release of 673 cfs. The rivers are still high and unsafe for wading. Oquaga Creek is still over 1,000 cfs so there is still a lot of water coming in below the dams too. The rivers are off color but show some improvement from yesterday afternoon. Some people will float today. Use your best judgement and extreme caution. Definitely wear a life jacket.
Today will be 50 degrees with good cloud cover. We may see a few showers totaling .04″ of rainfall. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
