The release from Cannonsville was dropped slightly to 500 cfs. Yesterday afternoon was a little sunnier than we would have liked. The hatching was a bit sporadic but it people found some sulphurs and cornutas in the afternoon. Nymphing was th ebest bet early in the day. Sulphurs, Light Cahills, March Browns, cornutas and Green Drakes are hatching. Dark Blue Sedges #14 are out in the evening (Psilotreta sp.). The hatching has been sporadic but yesterday was better than the high heat bright sun days. Despite the cooler air temps the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all peaked at or above 70 degrees again yesterday, It’s time to give these rivers a break.
Today is going to be much cooler peaking at 69 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. Wind will be 10 -20 mph from the North.
