The rain yesterday was a perfect, steady all afternoon event. Just what we needed. The river flows bumped slightly but most of it soaked in to the ground. A perfect example is the Oquaga Creek flow bumping from 5 cfs to 21 cfs. That would have been much higher if we hadn’t been so dry before the rain. The West Branch is clear out front with a flow of 575 cfs at Hale Eddy. The wind was tough at times yesterday but there were enough breaks to find fish eating. Sulphurs, small olives, and cahills made up most of the bugs we saw.
Today will hit 75 degrees with clouds in the morning breaking to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Wind will be 5 -10 mph from the North.
