Some areas saw some light rain yesterday afternoon but not enough to bump the flows. Today will be similar to yesterday with a bit more sunshine. Small olives, cahills, sulphurs, and Isonychias should all make an appearance in the late afternoon into the evening. Look for fish n the riffles and shade banks during the day. Blind casting has also worked well before and after the hatches.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls and the lower East Branch at Fishs Eddy peaked at or over 70 degrees yesterday. The Mainstem at Lordville peaked at 67 degrees. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool down.
Today will be warm again hitting 76 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
