We didn’t get any of the rain that was forecast yesterday. We had clouds in the morning which gave way to sun, delaying the hatches until later in the day. Sulphurs, Isos, olives and caddis made up the bulk of the hatches, make sure to carry a good summer selection with you.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls and the lower East Branch at Fishs Eddy peaked at or over 70 degrees yesterday. The Mainstem at Lordville peaked at 68 degrees. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool down.
Today will in the mid 70s with a chance of showers in the evening. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the Southeast.
