Delaware River Report: June 26, 2023

Yesterday was hot and humid, and while some sections saw a few brief showers, other sections remained dry. The Beaverkill and lower East Branch got some rain but the West Branch did not. Always pack a rain jacket in the summer for those unexpected showers.

We’re seeing a mix of small sulphurs, olives, Isos and caddis during the day. Bring a few cahills and vitreus patterns with you as well.

Tim found a pretty brown yesterday.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls and the East Branch at Fishs Eddy peaked at or over 70 degrees yesterday. Give that water a break until they cool down.

Today will be in the high 70s with a chance of showers in the evening. Wind will be 10-15 mph from the South.
