The aqueduct work has been pushed off again. It is now scheduled for Fall of 2024.
We had a few showers in the morning but not enough to bump the rivers. The flows dropped quite a bit since yesterday and but the rivers look good this morning. We’re in good shape for floating and wading. There are some mid day sulphurs on the upper West. There is algae in the water making nymphing tough up towards deposit. There is much less below Hale Eddy. We’re still seeing some cahills along with Isonychias and olives.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. It’s time to give these sections a break and fish the colder water.
Today will be a 87 degrees with potential stray showers. Wind will be light and variable.
