Delaware River Report: May 15, 2024

The release from Cannonsville has been cut back. The flow at Stilesville is 450 cfs. The river level will drop for a bit this morning and level out. The Beaverkill and East Branch flows are going up a bit due to last night’s rain. So far it doesn’t seem like much of a bump and the rain should taper off to occasional showers. We had a bit more sun than the forecast called for but that made the caddis more active. Today definitely feels like an olive day. The West is still seeing some Hendricksons and Hendrickson spinners. We even found a few Quill Gordons on the door the other morning. Gray Fox, March Browns, cahills, and sulphurs are also around. Today’s wet and cooler weather could push some midday spinners too.

Today will be 64 degrees cloud cover and occasional rain showers. Total precipitation should be .12″. Wind will be 5 – 10 from the South.
