The lower West has cleared after the slug of runofff pushed through yesterday afternoon and it looks good this morning. We’ll have a lot of sunshine to day so nymphing or swinging wets will be the best bet on the mid to lower West. We should see olives, sulphurs, some cahills, and some Isonychias once the sun drops. The upper West has some midday sulphurs and tiny olives. There has been some algae up top so it is more of a dry fly play.
Today will be 86 degrees with sunshine and a few clouds. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville water temps are all starting over 70 degrees this morning. It’s time to give these rivers a break.
