The rivers are still dropping but the West Branch remains in good shape for wading and floating. Nymphing has been the best bet early but people have seen some fish eating junk / leftover spinners in the big, slow pools before the sun hits the water. Isonychias are still putting some fish in the net. Olives and flying ants are definitely on the menu now too.
The Main Stem, Beaverkill and lower East Branch are starting to warm up again now that the levels have dropped. Bring your thermometer if you’re fishing those areas.
Today will be 85 degrees sunny to partly cloudy. Wind will be light and variable.
