We were hit with some storms overnight but the West Branch looks good with a flow of 662 cfs at Hale Eddy. It’s clear in Homepool right now. Oquaga Creek is only 50 cfs so it seems like we came through the storms just fine. The main storms must have passed just South and East of us because The lower East Branch and Mainstem are chocolate from the feeder streams. Olives, Isonychias, and maybe a few sulphurs and cahills should make up most of the bugs. The wind will be up a bit so look for protected areas. Nymphing will be the best bet early in the day.
Today will be 72 degrees with some rain showers in the morning. We m ay see some heavier showers in the afternoon. Total rainfall should be .26″ according to Wunderground. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.
