Delaware River Report: August 22, 2024

Yesterday was a bit unsettled with rain showers and sunshine, sometimes at the same time. The rain wasn’t heavy and the rivers are in fine shape this morning. People found fish on a mix of nymphs and dry flies. Today will be a bit warmer with less wind and some afternoon clouds. The tiny olives have been consistent in the afternoon / evening mixed with some left over sulphurs, cahills, and Isonychias. There is always a shot at flying ants for the next month plus we should see the caddis hatches pick up with the cooler weather.

Today will be 71 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. The cloud cover should increase in the afternoon with a slight chance of a rain shower. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
