Wunderground is calling for a slight chance of a shower today but the hourly forecast shows mostly sunshine. So it should fish a lot like the last two days. Nymphing or swinging wets will be your best bets early. There may be some fish eating left over bugs in the bigger pools before the sun hits the water. We should see olives and a few Isonychias in the colder water sections. Mid to lower West Branch should see them as the sun drops. Flying ants can happen anytime and have worked well over the last few days.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all peaked around 68 degrees yesterday. Today they will peak a little higher. It’s time to give these rivers a break again.
