Delaware River Report: September 6, 2024

The cool weather combined with the increased releases has all the rivers in good shape. The West Branch is still at a good level for wading and floating. Small olives in the afternoon / evening has been bringing some fish up. We’re seeing some Isonychias, cahills, and hebes in the mix too. The caddis should pick up as we push into September. Today looks similar to yesterday with a few more clouds. Nymphing has still been the best bet early but we are finding fish on dries. We have some rain in the forecast tomorrow but it’s been dry and should mostly soak into the ground.

Today will be 76 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
